Dreams of Flying

Dreams of Flying #1

Artist statement: This is a photo of my friend Rachael flying. My inspiration was a super man shirt I saw someone wearing so I decided to recreate it. I used my jacket as a cape, which was my only prop. I took it on this background so it looks like she is flying around a sunset. In photoshop all I did was crop it, there are no effects on this photo.

Dreams of Flying #2

Artist Statement: This is a photo of my friend Veronika. I got the idea because I thought it was orignal to have someone falling from space because it's basically unrealistic. I got her to lay on a dark matt so it looks like the space and I cut out stars and laid them beside her. In photoshop I cropped the image and added contrast so the colours would be more even and blended. I made her put her hair up so it looked like she was falling.

Dreams of Flying #3

Artist statement: This is a photo of Chris walking along a tight rope in mid air. I took this picture while standing on a shelf. The props I used are a tightrope and the background. I chose this background because it was the plainest one I could find. I got him to put his arms up so it looked like he was balancing.

Hipster Photo #3

Hipster

I took this photo because it's part of my locker so it has something to do with me. I used photoshop and hipster tutorials to make this photo have a hipster look.

Hipster Photo #2

Hipster

I took this photo in the fog and followed the steps online in photoshop. I added and downloaded light leaks to give it a unique look.

Jan von Holleben

Critique

This is a photo by Jan von Holleben  from his "Dreams of Flying" collection. I really like this photo because it looks like a little boy riding a horse even though it's a dog. I really like how you can see the vibrant colours and details in the dogs fur. I think that this photo would catch my eye more is they had a dirt or grass background but one thing I do like about the background is it makes the dog stand out a lot more. I chose this photo because me and my dog used to do this when I was little. It's a very cute picture and it reminds me of my childhood.

This is another photo by Jan von Holleben from his "Dreams of Flying" collection. I really like the colourful balloons because it really pops out as the main part of the photo. The background of the photo was a very good choice because it looks like a cloudy sky and it represents a boy who maybe wants to escape from the bad weather. The boy really looks like he's floating up because of the position he is lying in. This photo is very unique and it is a typical dream that a child or anyone would have because we have all wanted to float up with balloons. I wouldn't change anything about this photo because it just looks amazing.

This is the last photo I chose from Jan von Hollebens "Dreams of Flying" collection. In this photo there are two little boys swinging on vines in the jungle. This is a relatable photo because they look like they are from the movie Tarzan. They really look like they are in a jungle because of the wood planks in the background and the tree props. One thing that could make this photo better is maybe having some of the sky so you can really see how high up they are. This is a very cool photo that brings back memories.

Music Cover #3

Keep Holding On

I chose this photo because it's a picture of my shoes, and I chose this song because it's about staying strong and making it through the tough times in life and it makes you a better person. I made this cover using photoshop, I used layers and white text. I posted the lyrics and then the picture and rotated it 45 degrees. I then blended the words with the background and made a title. This is the final image.

Music Cover #2

It's Time

I chose this photo because it is a photo of my eye, these lyrics represent me because it's saying that I'm never gonna change and to be yourself. I made this photo using photo shop, I started by copying and pasting the lyrics a couple times, rotated it by 45 degrees and then I added the photo. I used layers to get the lyrics overtop and to put the Album name.
